Let's not get complacent: Minister Biswajit

Works minister Th Biswajit has stated that people should get rid of the tendency of becoming complacent as soon as Covid-19 cases decrease in the state, while adding that if they get themselves fully vaccinated and follow SOPs there in no need for fearing any future Covid-19 waves.
Speaking during presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to Milan Enterprises, Dharmasala for continuously providing free 2000 meals a day to 27 Covid Care Centres of the state on Sunday, minister Biswajit pointed out that at a time when everyone is suffering due to Covid-19, such generous work must be appreciated.
He also urged all who are eligible for vaccination to get vaccinated, as only vaccination can provide protection against the disease.
Biswajit mentioned that since public cannot go hungry, the government has given some relaxation to selected few activities which need to be done while adhering to Covid-19 SOPs.
But people have the habit of breaking SOPs when cases decrease and this need to be done away with.
There are some people who just for the sake of fun or joke are posting materials on social media that create fear against taking the Covid vaccination.
This should not be done.
No one should try to disturb the measures being taken up by the government to contain the pandemic, he stated.
