Imphal, November 17 2022:
The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has clarified that the six PREPAK (VC) cadres among 31 cadres of five different organisations, who the government claimed to have taken part in the Home Coming Ceremony at the Banquet Hall of 1MR on Wednesday, were unrelated with the outfit and its armed wing Red Army.
One adverse thing about the Home Coming ceremony organised by the state's home department was the attempt made to segregate the unity of PREPAK by assigning the six surrendered cadres as that of PREPAK (VC) .
Inclusion of a non-existent rebel group in the Home Coming ceremony itself shows the ceremony was stage managed as the outfit had clarified from time to time that there is no group under the nomenclature of PREPAK (VC), a PREPAK statement issued by its publicity officer Mangal Khuman said and cautioned the home department not to repeat such acts in future.
According to the PREPAK statement, the Home Coming ceremony was not only a fake one but also to spread cheap propaganda to demean the revolutionary movement.
BJP claims of bringing peace in Kangleipak after the party ruled the land but PREPAK considers such claims as an attempt to please their masters, it said, while maintaining that innocent people of Kangleipak are confused over self-styled local leaders' endorsement of BJP government's Indi-anisation of Kanglei people.
PREPAK also alleged that the 'Surrender Drama' was organised to seek fund from the Union home ministry after confusing the public about the revolution being launched with political ideology to restore lost sovereignty of Kangleipak as reformation process.
The propaganda being spread to convert the ongoing revolution with resolute political ideology as reformation indeed is surprising but PREPAK will never allow this to happen and continue to fight against such acts all the time, it asserted.
