SH, Chandel ADCs clarify on eligibility norms for recruitment

The District Council Administration, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi has issued clarifications and instructions related to eligibility criteria for the recruitmenf process in various posts.
The clarifications were made in pursuance of the government conveyance letter (No 24/l/12017-Hills Dated 16-11-2022) .
Sadar Hills ADC, Kangpokpi chief executive officer James Doujapao Haokip said that candidates, for the post of primary teacher, who are in the last year of the final D.El.Ed/B.Ed examination will be given the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process provided they are eligible in all other respects except D.El.Ed/B.Ed.However, the appointment of such candidates shall be subject to passing of D.El.Ed/B.Ed within one year from the date of appointment, he added.
The officer also said that the applications of candidates without TET shall be provisionally accepted if they fulfil all educational and other eligibility criteria notified for recruitment to the post of primary teachers but appointment of candidates without TET shall be subject to the passing of TET/CTET within 2 years of the probation period after their appointment to the post of primary teacher.
However, service of such candidates shall not be confirmed after probation unless they pass the TET/CTET within the stipulated time, he added.
The chief executive officer further said that the number of posts may be increased or decreased as per requirement and after due approval of the competent authority.
He also said that the waiting list of candidates for various posts/categories shall be prepared as per the rules.
Meanwhile, ADC, Chandel chief executive officer (CEO) Seiminthang Lenthang has also issued a notification to clarify on the recruitment process Of 125 vacant posts in various departments under ADC Chandel.
According to the CEO, for post of primary teachers, candidates who are in the last year of DElEd/BEd final examination will be given opportunity to join the recruitment process provided they are eligible in all other respects except DElEd/BEd.
The appointment of such candidates will be subject to passing the DElEd/BEd within one year from the date of appointment, it added.
CEO also conveyed that the application of candidates without TET will be provisionally accepted if they fulfil all educational and other eligibility criteria notified for recruitment to the post of primary teacher.
However, their appointment as primary teacher without TET will be finalised only after passing of TET/CTET within two years of probation period.
The service of such candidates will not be confirmed after probation unless they pass the TET/CTET within the stipulated time, it said.
