The state government has instructed all officials of various departments to station at their respective place of posting.

In case of absence of government accommodation, they may stay at a rented quarters and seek re-imbursement of the rent by submitting necessary documents to the finance department.
In spite of the instructions issued previously, many officers/officials are not stationing at their places of posting and continue to reside at their home towns.

Rajesh Kumar further directed all deputy commissioners and superintendents of police to remain in their respective districts at all times and any movement out of the district should be done only with the permission of the chief secretary/director general of police.
They should ensure that all district level officers and other officers/officials attend office regularly and remain within the district jurisdiction.
If they are required to travel out of their district/sub-division/block of posting, prior permission from the deputy commissioner should be obtained compulsorily.
If any officers/officials are found absent from their places of posting, it is to be immediately brought to the notice of the chief secretary, he added.
All deputy commissioners should also make arrangements for installation of Biometric Attendance System in the DC Office and all DLO Offices immediately, the chief secretary directed, while adding that Director (IT) should be consulted for linking data flow to central server for regular monitoring at state level.
