Two cases detected; active cases decline

Imphal, April 18 2022:
The number of Covid-19 active cases in the State declined to 53 on Monday from the previous day's 57 as only two new positive cases were detected out of 251 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The test positivity rate was recorded at 0.8 against 2.06 TPR registered on Sunday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours while six patients were discharged in the same period.
Of the 53 active cases, 19 are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,410 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 104 new positive cases and no fatality.
According to official reports, the two fresh cases (1 male & 1 female) are residents of Imphal West and Thoubal districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,198 (general population - 1,32,184 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,025 (general population 1,30,018 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) while the recovery rate is 98.41 per cent.
A total of 487 D-type and 61 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 22 vaccine doses administered on Sunday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals to 15,49,844, out of which 11,92,397 had received the second dose and 70,205 had taken precautionary dose.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,742), Imphal East (30,441), Thoubal (10,158), Churachandpur (11,054), Kangpokpi (3131), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9836), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3274), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
