RK Ranjan urges public to avail health schemes

Under the 100 days action plan of the second term of BJP government, Block Health Mela fair) and Telemedicine of Ayushman Bharat-HWC were held in various districts on Monday.
District Health Society (DHS), Imphal East organised the fair at Heingang Mayai Leikai.
Speaking as chief guest, Union minister of state of external affairs and education Dr RK Ranjan appealed to people belonging to below poverty line (BPL) to fully avail the benefits of government health schemes such as CMHT and Ayushman Bharat.
He continued that the health fairs are being held throughout the country in connection with the 75th year of India's independence and the 4th anniversary of launch of Ayushman Bharat scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 18, 2018.Minister Ranjan encouraged the public to take advantage of the fair and avail service of doctors and other medical staff.
Presided over by Imphal East deputy commissioner Kh Diana, the programme was also attended by Heingang Gram Panchayat pradhan K Jayenta and block development officer E Amuthoi Khanganba as guests of honour.
As part of the health mela, Health Department along with related line departments opened 30 stalls for the service of the public.
Meanwhile, Chandel district administration and District Health Society organised Block Health Mela and Telemedicine of Ayushman Bharat-HWC at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Komlathabi.
The opening function of the health mela was attended by minister Dr Sapam Ranjan as chief guest with ministers Leishangthem Susindro, Heikham Dingo, Chandel MLA SS Olish, deputy commissioner M Rajkumar, chief medical officer Dr Serthani Serbum and others also present at the event.
In all, 28 stalls of District Health Society, ICDS, 21 Assam Rifles, Food Safety Department and other departments were opened with 850 people availing their service.
Similar Mela will also be conducted for Chakpikarong Block on April 20 at Community Health Centre (CHC) and for Khengjoi Block on April 22 at Health and Wellness Centre (HWC), Saibol-Joupi.
Tengnoupal district administration and District Health Society also organised Block Health Mela at Sub-Divisional Hospital Moreh with deputy commissioner Mannuamching as chief guest, chief medical officer Tengnoupal Kh Gojen as functional president and SP Tengnoupal B Golianmang as guest of honour of the inauguration programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Mannuamching stressed the need for keeping Moreh town clean, raising awareness for proper disposal of garbage, making the town plastic free and saving the youths from substance abuse.
Noting the huge role of CSOs, she also appealed to the Moreh denizens to volunteer for cleaning up of highly polluted Khujairok river, while assuring all possible help from the district administration.
After the meeting, DC Tengnoupal visited the various stalls opened at the health mela including free medicine supply stall; lab sample collection & diagnostic stall; food safety stall; health education; Covid-19 vaccination stall; AYUSH OPD; eye care clinic; paediatric clinic; PMJAY/CMHT Card service stall, etc.
The health mela provided treatment for around 500 persons including people from Myanmar.
The mela was also attended by various community leaders from Moreh, village chiefs, club organisations and departments.
