Block level health fairs held in Tmlg, Ccpur, Jbm districts

Tamenglong, April 18 2022:
As a part of the 100 Days Action Plan of the new government, Tamenglong Block Health Mela was held on Monday at Unity Stadium, Tamenglong Baptist Church compound under the theme "Strengthen Citizen-Centric Governance".
The health fair organised by District Health Society was inaugurated with Tamenglong MLA Janghemlung Panmei, chief medical officer Dr G Majachunglu and sub divisional officer Rohit Anand as chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion Janghemlung Panmei urged the villagers to avail benefits of such fairs for periodical consultation with healthcare professionals and get registered for various government-funded health schemes.
While encouraging youngsters present at the fair to pursue medical studies so as to the serve the society, he affirmed that top priority will be given to improvement of healthcare and education sectors.
He also assured that the newly constructed PHSC will be made functional by May.
Meanwhile, representatives of the CMO's office submitted a 12-point memorandum to the MLA, who later carried out inspection of the District Hospital.
CHURACHANDPUR: As part of the countrywide 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebration being held from April 18 to 22, Churachandpur district administration in collaboration with health department organised health melas in three blocks of the district on Monday.
Henglep, Samulamlan and Lamka South were the three blocks where the health fairs were held.
At Henglep, the camp was held at Henglep High School with local MLA Letzamang Haokip, Soiminlian Lenggen (Prabhari Henglep) and Mangte Jonathang Kom, SDO Kangvai & Henglep, in attendance.
At Samulamlan, the mela was organised at Sagang Hr Sec School and it was attended by Lalroungbawl Hmar, BDO/Samulamlan, while Lamka South's mela held at SSA Residential School was attended by Dingdi Khaute, daughter of Churachandpur MLA LM Khaute and Additional DC Khaikhopau Ngaihte.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Letzamang Haokip informed that the government accords highest priority to healthcare sector due to which it has increased the CMHT amount from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
He, however, stated that government employees are not eligible to avail the benefit.
Noting that many of the medical equipment like dialysis machine in the district hospital have not been functioning due to which many people need to go to Imphal, the MLA asked the chief medical officer to provide reasons for non-functioning of the medical equipment.
JIRI: As a part of the new government's '100 days action plan', District Health Society, Jiribam has begun a Block Level Health Mela at RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, here from Monday.
The opening ceremony of the Health Mela organised as part of Azadi Ka Amrit celebration was attended by Jiribam Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha Kh Janaki Devi as chief guest, CMO Jiribam Dr Elangbam Okendro Singh as president and BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi as special guest.
Altogether, 14 stalls are being set up in the Health Mela.
