59 test positive, 99 recover

Out of 594 samples tested on Monday, 59 new cases of Covid-19 were detected while 99 patients have recovered, taking the state's recovery rate of 98.11 pc.
With the addition of the new cases, the number of active cases in the state reached 501.Out of the 59 new cases (46 males, 13 females), 18 are from Imphal West, 12 from Churachandpur, 9 from Imphal East, 4 each from Thoubal and Kakching, 3 from Bishnupur, 2 each from Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, Senapati and 1 each from.
Chandel and Tamenglong.
The test positivity rate for the day is 9.9 per cent.
On Monday, 99 patients were dis charged from home isolation (68), RIMS (1) and JNIMS (5) while backlogged cases of discharge accounted for 2 5.Out of the total 38 Covid beds at JNIMS, 21 are vacant and 31 out of 62 beds are lying vacant at RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 1888 positive cases and nine deaths since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
As on Sunday, 316 D-Type and 13 B-Type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the state and 340 vaccine doses administered on Sunday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 31,05,928, out of which 16,47,13 had taken the first dose, 12,86,917 received the second dose and 2,04,298 had precautionary doses.
