Slow Loris rescued, Tokay Gecko released

Volunteers of People for Animal, Thoubal have rescued a Bengal slow Loris from Heirok part 2 Mayai Leikai.
With multiple injuries on its head, neck and limb, the animal was found climbing an electric pole by members of Divine Live Club of Heirok.
After doctors from state veterinary hospital carefully reconstructed the fractured bone and applied plaster of paris, the animal is now under the intensive care of PFA Thoubal, according to a statement issued by Managing Trustee of PFA Thoubal L Biswajeet Meitei.
Bishwajeet further informed that two Bengal Monitor Lizard (schedule 1) rescued from Kongba Wangkhei Leikai and Langathel Mayai Leikai respectively, one Tokay Gecko rescued from Airport Ningombam Road and one Leopard cat (Keijenglang) (schedule 1) rescued from Thoubal Mayai Leirak were also released by PFA on July 9 in the forest of Naharup Panggong Makhong which is under intensive conservation by Eastern Ecology Conservation Organisation(EECO) of Naharup Panggong Makhong.
