Imphal, July 12, 2013:
Expressing unhappiness over the delay in disposal of the Napetpali molestation and robbing case of 24th December, 2012 by authorities concerned, Naga Women's Union and Rongmei Lu Phuam (RLP) have demanded delivery of justice to the victims at the earliest possible.
In a joint statement, Panti Gonmei, President of RLP (AM&N) and Aram Pamei, President of Naga Women's Union, asserted that the processing of the case filed by Lamlai Police Station has been greatly delayed.
Even after six months have passed, nothing has actually taken place even though the victim minor girl from Risophung village has been bearing the mental and physical agony ever since.
Civil societies shall not remain silent spectators, should the case remain further neglected which is a matter of grave crime against women, they added.
