No new cases, recoveries in state

Imphal, April 27 2022:
For the second time in the current month, the state reported no new case of Covid-19 though the state health department tested 239 samples in the last 24 hours.
April 22 also reported no new case.
No death cases were also reported in the last 24 hours and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
The last 24 hours also reported no new recoveries and as such the number of active cases stands at 17 out of which 10 (58.82 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 300 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 190 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,429 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 123 new positive cases and no fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 14 and zero respectively.
The cumulative number of positive cases stands at 1,37,217 (general population - 1,32,203 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,080 (general population - 130,073 and CAPF personnel -5,007) and number of active cases is 17 (general population) .
The recovery rate remains at 98.44 per cent.
A total of 300 D-type and 92 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours while 3194 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,55,074, including 12,01,459 persons who had received the second doses and 79,219 jabbed with precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,745), Imphal East (30,443), Thoubal (10,160), Churachandpur (11,054), Kangpokpi (3134), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9842), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3276), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,221 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,660 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,576 tests per million population against the national average of 5,94,827 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
The cumulative rate stands at 8.53 per cent.
