'Planning to open 109 veterinary facilities'

Veterinary minister O Lukhoi said that the government is making preparations to inaugurate as many as 109 veterinary dispensaries and hospitals, which were constructed in the last one year and two months after he became a minister.
Lukhoi was attending the inauguration of two club buildings and a veterinary hospital that were constructed under the supervision of Sekmai MLA Heikham Dingo at Phayeng village in Sekmai assembly constituency on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, minister Lukhoi hailed MLA Dingo for his dedication in taking up development works in Sekmai assembly constituency.
He also hailed the MLA for making the veterinary hospital at Phayeng, the first to be inaugurated among the 109 veterinary hospitals and dispensaries constructed in both hills and valley after he became a minister.
He then said that the government will do the needful despite facing fund constraint due to Covid-19 pandemic.
MLA Dingo said that steps will be taken up to inaugurate several completed projects in Sekmai AC since the Covid-19 situation has improved significantly.
However, the global pandemic has affected the progress of many projects but he will do whatever he could in order to bring development in Sekmai AC regardless of the pandemic, he assured.
Phayeng GP pradhan A Shyamasakhi, BJP Sekmai Mandal president and other party leaders were also present at the event.
