Imphal, November 04 2021:
One more unvaccinated person succumbed to Covid in Manipur as 58 new positive cases were added in the last 24 hours.
The deceased was from Thoubal district and had co-morbidities, said COVID-19 Common Control Room in a press release.
The death count in the State due to the virus has now reached 1927 .
Positivity rate in the last 24 hours saw a slight increase to 3.8 from 3.4 on Wednesday as 58 out of the 1508 samples collected returned positive for the virus at JNIMS (8) and other testing Centres (50) .
The total count include a Central security personnel and 57 (33 males and 24 females) belonging to the general population from Imphal West (24), Imphal East (17), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (2), Chandel (1), Kamjong (1), Kangpokpi (1), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (2) and Senapati (2), it said.
With the new cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State reached 1,23,957 which include 4339 Central security personnel.
In the meantime, the 57 persons who were in home isolation (6) and at RIMS (5), JNIMS (11) and CCCs (35) were discharged in the last 24 hours.
With this, the cumulative number of recovered cases is now 1,21,326 including 4320 Central security personnel, the common control room said.
The number of active cases is now 704 (general population- 690 and Central security personnel-14) and the recovery rate stands at 97.88.The common control room also updated that 738 D-type and 154 B-type Oxygen Cylinders were made available to different health facilities as on November 3.It further informed that 8372 Covid vaccine doses were administered as on November 3 .
With this, the cumulative dose administered is 19,97,230 (first dose-12,52,013 and second dose- 745217).As enumerated in a table, the cumulative count of 2nd dose vaccination saw a nominal rise from 31.50 percent yesterday to 31.83 percent as on November 3.Occupying the top three spots in terms of second dose vaccine coverage (in percent) among the districts are Imphal West (46.22), Jiribam (46.03) and Kakching (42.25) while Kangpokpi remains the least covered with a meagre count of 8.68 percent.
Second dose vaccination coverage (in percent) in the rest of the districts as laid out in the table are: Imphal East (41.04), Bishnupur (35.18), Chandel (37.83), Churachandpur (33.30), Senapati (19.39), Tamenglong (19.05), Thoubal (25.55), Ukhrul (13.59), Tengnoupal (20.80), Kamjong (14.98), Pherzawl (25.31) and Noney (21.36) .
