Imphal, November 04 2021:
NPP will not make alliance (pre-poll) with any political party for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election to be held in early part of 2022 but would not oppose any political party for post-poll alliance, declared deputy chief minister and National People's Party (NPP) national vice president Y Joykumar Singh.
Disclosing this during a reception function for intending candidate in Langthabal AC Karam Nabakishore held at Mayol Hall, Iroishemba on Thursday, Y Joykumar said that NPP is preparing to field 35/40 candidates in the upcoming election and the party expects to get at least 20 seats.
Being an intending candidate in Langthabal AC, Karam Nabakishore needs to know his opponents as well as their qualities and capabilities apart from strengthening the youth wing of NPP to ensure success in the upcoming election, Y Joykumar stressed.
According to Joykumar, veteran politician O Joy's political career is almost over in Langthabal while incumbent MLA Karam Shyam is no longer people's leader as he is now more interested in piling up his personal wealth.
At one point of time, Karam Shyam said that sacrifice is important while serving people but his sacrificing spirit is now being questioned by people of his own constituency, Joykumar claimed and appealed to the intending NPP candidate in Langthabal AC Nabakishore to sacrifice for the people and not to imitate Karam Shyam.
NPP Manipur working president and MLA L Jayentakumar, who also attended the event, said that NPP is known to all people of North East including people of Langthabal AC and the party has high expectation from people of the constituency.
The felicitation function was also attended by top leaders of NPP state unit.
