18th death anniversary of Lungnila observed

Sangai Bazaar and Thoithoi Adventure Park observed the 18th death anniversary of Lungnila Elizabeth at Takhellambam Konjin near Hiyangthang, today.
Offering floral tributes to the photo of Lungnila Elizabeth and distributing simple gifts to the artistes of Mami Artist Association were the main highlights of the observance.
At the function, chairman of Sangai Bazaar and Thoithoi Adventure Park, Kh Inaoba said that he along with his family members have been observing the remembrance programme of the then student of Little Flower School since her 4th death anniversary with the belief that people in the valley of Manipur must sympathize with the predicament of those in the hills.
The programme is being observed with a message to eliminate all forms of violence, he added.
Saying that Lungnila Elizabeth was daughter of the then Minister Francis Ngajokpa, he recalled that the last rites of the young girl were performed at Imphal.
Inaoba also stated that Lungnila Elizabeth is a symbol of integrity in Manipur.
Further stating that the father of the girl who died young doesn't object to this programme, Inaoba maintained that Francis Ngajokpa had also dedicated his daughter to Ima Manipur.
Inaoba also lauded Francis Ngajokpa and his family members for his generosity and dedication.
Later, Inaoba presented sweets and cash incentives to the crew members and artistes of Mami Artist Association.
He then urged the Government to allow playing Shumang Leela by conforming to the standard operating procedures of COVID-19.Inaoba also stated that he is planning to open one old age and a children's home and one charitable hospital for the poor.
Lungnila Elizabeth was kidnapped from the gate of Little Flower School on November 4, 2003.After days, her body was found on November 12 the same year.
