AR holds Aadhaar card registration camp for villagers

Imphal, December 28 2017:
Continuing with its commitment for betterment of villages, 19 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) in collaboration with Chandel District Administration organised an Aadhaar registration camp from December 23 to 24 at Old Samtal village for the villagers of Old Samtal, Sejang and S Bongjoi villages under Khenjoy Sub-Division of Chandel district.
According to a press release of PRO IGAR (S), a total 342 people were enrolled for the Aadhaar registration, which is mandatory for every citizen of India as an identity proof and taking benefits of various Government schemes.
The villagers appreciated the efforts and commitment of 19 Assam Rifles.
The Aadhaar team further dispatched to village New Samtal for carrying out Aadhaar registration for the villages on the Indo-Myanmar border viz New Lajang, New Samtal, Yangnomphai and Aivomjang on December 24, it added.
