Legal Aid Clinic opened

Bishnupur District Legal Service Authority under the Manipur State Legal Service Authority opened the district's 12th Legal Aid Clinic today at Kwakta Bazar, Moirang today with an awareness programme.
Ch Brajachand Singh, District and Session Judge who is also the Chairman of the District Legal Service Authority, Bishnupur opened the new clinic to the people.
Ch Brajachand, Md Azad, Councillor, ward no 1, Kwakta Municipal Council, MV Shahheruddin, Md Helaluddin, MV Islauddin Quasmi and Shardar Jamiaitut Ulema Bpr attended the event as presidium members.
Advocate Th Shudhir Meitei and PLV Associate Professor L Gopal Singh spoke at the event as resource persons.
Topics such as 'Drug abuse, elicit trafficking and role of Para Legal Volunteers were highlighted during the event.
Emphasizing on the role of Para Legal Volunteers, Ch Brajachand said that legal aid clinics will close the gap between the people and the court.
The clinic will help people understand law and create awareness to the people about the legal aspect of cases, he said.
He further appealed the Para Legal Volunteers to work at their best to help the people.
