Golden jubilee celebration of AMGSU concludes

The golden jubilee celebration of All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) concluded today at the football ground of Hindi Higher Secondary School, Kanglatombi.
Titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba, president of AMGSU, LB Adhikari and Joint Director, Education, Hills, Manipur, Doma Bhutia, graced the occasion as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively while Prem Tamang, president of All Assam Gorkha Students' Union, Manjit Sarangthem, president of All Manipur Students Union (AMSU), Tonglen Lhouvum of Thadou Students' Association (GHQ) Manipur, Seiboi Haokip, general secretary of All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM), Seth Shatsang, president of All Naga Students, Association Manipur (ANSAM), Thangmileng Kipgen, president Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) Sadar Hills and NK Job, president of All Liangmei Naga Students' Union (Manipur, Nagaland and Assam) were present as special guests.
Speaking at the event, Leishemba Sanajaoba recalled the historic relationships between his forefathers/ royal family and the Gorkha community.
He stated that Manipur is home to diverse communities and appealed to all to cultivate a sense of nationalism.
Speaking at the event, LB Adhikari appreciated all the participants and urged them to fought together for all issues, particularly those related to student's welfare.
As a part of the programme, different cultural troupes performed various dances and the audiences were enthralled with cultural fashion show and musical performances.
