Senapati, May 27 2015 :
Mao Council today clarified on the news report published on May 24 under the heading "Mao Council bandh ends, president resigns" by stating that Chief Minister O Ibobi gave no official assurance to Mao Council over the land encroachment issue in Dzuko Valley.
Reacting to the statement of the Chief Minister during the 23rd Terrorism Day observation in Imphal wherein he reportedly said that the State Government would approach the Centre after a thorough enquiry over the matter, Mao Council said that the District Administration under the supervision of the SDO had initiated a spot enquiry on November 22 and on May 4 2015 .
A memorandum was also submitted on April 23 by CK&DLBR .
Questioning how many times an enquiry survey is to be conducted, the statement said that the negligence of the Chief Minister had constrained CK&DLBR and Mao Council to take up its own course of action.
