Imphal, May 27 2015 :
Following his disqualification from the Manipur Legislative Assembly on ground of defection, Wangoi A/C MLA Oinam Lukhoi said his constituency will decide whether he should contest the midterm election or fight through legal means.
Adressing media persons at his residence today, the MLA said the Speaker's decision would not be taken lightly.
The MLA has entrusted his people to decide whether he should stand up for the midterm election or fight the Speaker's decision through legal means.
The decision would be notified in a day or two, the MLA informed.
Expressing strong disapproval of the Speaker's decision, the MLA charged the Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker of biased ruling.
He said the same yard stick was not used on five other MSCP MLAs who had joined the Congress and added that he and the other four members had been deliberately picked upon.
"There were misunderstandings between the party members but those were sorted out within the party.
The Speaker was approached with an appeal to drop our case," Lukhoi lamented.
