Many continue to extend help to evicted families of Waithou

Imphal, June 15 2022:
Many continue to provide relief items to people who have been rendered homeless by the recent eviction drive at Waithou reserved forest area.
A team of United Peoples' Front (UPF) Manipur led by its president N Rupachandra provided relief items to the people who are taking shelter at the relief camp set up at Lilong Haoreibi College today to help in alleviating their problems amid these trying times.
Speaking at the sidelines, president of UPF sought immediate attention from the Government and to make alternate arrangements in the interest of the affected families, said a press release by UPF, Manipur.

He also urged the authorities concerned to make special arrangements for the students to ensure that their academic career is not affected, added the release.
Meanwhile, the relief committee Waithou Sangomsang Ching areas eviction victim families, Thoubal district has expressed gratitude to all who have extended help to the affected people till.
While informing that there are 374 people at the relief camp at present, the committee in a press note has appealed to all to extend best possible help to the affected people to help in alleviating their hardships.
