Ministerial team visits Health & Wellness Centre, Phubala

Imphal, June 15 2022:
A ministerial team led by Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Manipur, Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh today visited Health & Wellness Centre, Phubala in Bishnupur district.
A discussion and interaction programme was also held with health officials and staff of the centre as a part of the visit.
Speaking to media persons, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar informed that the Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully implemented many health care and welfare schemes of the public.
"More than 1.5 lakh Health and Wellness Centres have been opened in the country.
The Government has set the objective to reach out different heath care and welfare schemes to every nook and corners of the country", she added.

She also highlighted the role played by Chief Minister N Biren Singh in successfully implementing different health schemes.
The Union Minister was accompanied by Director Health Services, Manipur, Dr K Rajo Singh; State Mission Director, NHM, Manipur, Dr Somorjit Ningombam; and Deputy Director, Dr Prabin among others.
Moreover, as part of the Aspirational District Programme of NITI Aayog, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh on Tuesday inspected the services and infrastructure at District Hospital Chandel.
During the visit, the Ministers also inspected the Prime Minister National Dialysis programme at District Hospital Chandel, said a release issued by Dr Johnson Mathew Monsang, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Chandel.
Under the programme, free dialysis services are provided for chronic kidney disease patients.
The programme was inaugurated on February 16, 2021 with 3 beds.
A total of 186 dialysis sessions for 8 patients have been performed till date.
