New buildings of Ranipool College, CAU inaugurated

New buildings of MTTC and VTC, animal shed of CAEPHT, Ranipool College of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal and pre fabricated boys' and girls' hostel of COH, Bermiok College of CAU, Imphal were inaugurated today.
The inauguration programme was graced by Shubha Karandlaje, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, Government of India, Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, BB Subba, Secretary (Agriculture), Government of Sikkim, Dr AK Singh, Deputy Director General (Agriculture Education), ICAR, New Delhi and Professor PP Dabral, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology, Ranipool, said a press release by CAU, Imphal.
The programme which was also webcasted in zoom platform and YouTube commenced with a tree plantation by the dignitaries at the campus followed by Ganesh Puja and a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Around 300 participants including farmers from different districts of Sikkim along with faculties, staff and students of College of Agricultural Engineering and PHT and College of Horticulture, Bermiok attended the programme in off-line mode.
Director of Instruction, Dr S Basanta Singh, Director of Extension, Professor Ph Ranjit Sharma, Registrar, CAU Imphal, Dr K Mamocha Singh, Comptroller, CAU Imphal, Ananthashayanam K, Deans of 13 constituent colleges and Heads of 6 KVKs and all the officials, faculties, staff and students of CAU Headquarters, colleges and KVKs in online mode.
During the programme, Shubha Karandlaje interacted with farmers from various parts of the State and assured to provide full support in every possible manner, added the release.
