DESAM demands CBI probe

Democratic Students'Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has already taken up steps to rope in the service of CBI to probe into the implementations of schemes under SSA and RMSA in the State.
The service of CBI has been sought to monitor whether all the programmes under SSA and RMSA in the State have been properly implemented/utilized or not, stated president of DESAM, M Angamba while addressing a press meet this evening at DESAM Hqtrs, Keishampat.
He added that many contractors were eyeing to get contract for the one room extension programmes for 14 schools in Jiribam under SSA.
He told the reporters that the construction has been going on under the terms of agreement between the contractors and the authorities of the 14 schools.
On the other hand, second party contractors meddle, thus causing confusion.
So there have been two constructions going on in all the 14 schools so far by the two parties contractors, he said.
The schools where the constructions are on included Babukhal primary school, Bhoumika primary school, Champanagar primary school, Chhotobekra Bengali primary school, Latingkhal Higher secondary school, Latingkhal Katoura primary school, Latingkhal lower primary schools, Latingkhal primary school, Sonapur primary school, Chandranathpour primary school, Goakhal primary school, Islamabad lower primary school, Mikirpunjee lower primary school and Modhupur lower primary school.
