Chandel, November 20 2015 :
Vehicular movements along the Imphal-Moreh section of National Highway 102 have largely been hit by the ongoing indefinite bandh imposed by Kuki Student's Organisation (KSO) against the shifting of D.El.Ed 2yrs Examination Centre of Tengnoupal BRC IGNOU Study Centre out the district.
Bandh supporters have prohibited all kinds of vehicular movements other than religious and emergency vehicles along the said section of the Highway since November 14, our correspondent reports.
Speaking to the media persons, Doumang Haokip, president, KSO, Chandel said the body will further intensify their protest.
No plausible solution was brought in the meeting with State's Education Minister attended by local MLA and IGNOU's Regional Director as the voice of the people were undermined by them, Doumang Haokip said.
The student's body is left with no other option other but to approach the Union Minister of Human Resource and higher authority of IGNOU, he added.
The student's body has further appealed the general public to cooperate and bear further.
