Imphal, November 20 2015 :
Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) Manipur has blamed the indifferent attitude of the Government for the rising number of Government doctors practising in private hospitals.
In a statement, IPAK said that the facilities at RIMS and JNIMS are inadequate to meet the rising needs of patients and people opt for private clinics or go outside the State for treatment.
This in turn results in unnecessary wastage of time and money.
IPAK drew the attention of the Govt on the need to increase the number of operation theatres at RIMS and JNIMS and also to give strict instructions to Govt doctors not to practise in private hospitals.
IPAK warned that it has the names of doctors who sit in the OPDs of private hospitals leaving behind their duty and added that it will expose these doctors through the media if they do not mend their ways.
