One-day awareness programme on 'National Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Hub' held at Bishnupur

A one-day awareness programme on "National Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH)" organized by Manipur Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (MANIDCO) under the sponsorship of The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt of India was held at Kiyamba Ningshing Shanglen, Bishnupur which saw participation from 105 entrepreneurs of the district today.
The awareness programme was attended by Chairperson Bishnupur Municipal Council, Laishram Maniyaima Singh as chief guest; Officer in Special Duty (MSME), G Kahmi as functional president and Director MSME-DI Imphal Govt of India, Tali Longchar as guest of honour.

In the technical session, Chairman MIDC P Loken Singh; Director MSME-DI, Imphal Tali Longchar; OSD MSME Trade, Commerce & Industries Govt of Manipur, G Kahmi; Deputy Manager NSIC Imphal Branch, L Ibetombi Devi and Consultant MIDC spoke on "Concept of Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Problem solving", "MSME - Scheme for SC/ST & other entrepreneurs", "Role of KVIC for the Development of New Enterprise for SC/ST", "Manipur Industrial Policy", "Role of NSIC for Development of new Enterprises of SC/ST" and "Udyog Aadhar Memorandum filing Procedures" respectively as resource persons.
Speaking at the occasion, Director MSME-DI Imphal, Govt of India said that the programme on SC/ST Hub was conducted especially to uplift SC and ST for self-employment.
He further said that the Govt of India has put more thrust to uplift the SC and ST by funding heavily through State Govt to conduct various awareness programme, skill development programme etc for self-employment.
