The Northeast Biography Forum (NEBF) felicitated its life member and founder of SEVA Manipur Dr Kh Chinglen Singh on being conferred Doctorate degree on Social Work by International Peace University, Germany.
He was conferred the degree for his 'selfless and consistent service towards society'.
Speaking at the felicitation function held at Manipur Press Club as chief guest, Director Social Welfare & Minority Affairs Ngangom Uttam Singh congratulated Dr Kh Chinglen and said that bringing positive changes and development in a society need collective efforts.
Talking about dharma and discipline, he opined that the 'turmoil' prevailing in the present society is due to lack of faith in God.
Dharma, faith in God and discipline are all interdependent, he said expressing that children and youth should have faith and cultivate discipline to lead society.
RK Nayansana Devi, advisor SEVA Manipur, Nungkangba Khuman (Bihari), president Yaibilen Children Home Keibi Sanapat and Kiran Yendrembam, patron NEBF also attended the event as presidium members.
