IRCS observes International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances

Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Manipur, observed International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances 2019, at its office at MG Avenue today.
As a part of the event, IRCS Imphal West vice president Dr Koijam Arunkanta led volunteers of the society in holding a candle light vigil in memory of all those people who either disappeared or went missing all over the world.
Speaking to media persons on the sideline of the event, IRCS Imphal member L Lekhendro said that this is the second time IRCS Imphal is observing the day and explained that the event is observed in solidarity of the family members of victim of enforced disappearance and to show that the people need to stand up together against such incidents in the future.
