Sony Nongmaithem selected to watch historic landing of Chandrayaan-2 along with PM on Sep 7

Bishnupur, August 30 2019:
In connection with launching of the Chandrayaan-2 mission by ISRO on July 22, two top scoring students (from class 8 to 10) from each State and Union Territory will be given an opportunity to watch the historic landing of Chandrayaan-2 on the moon live along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at ISRO Bengaluru Centre on September 7 .

A press release issued by Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Loktak has conveyed that a student of the school, Sony Nongmaithem (class X) of Nachou Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district has been selected among the participants from Manipur.
To be selected for this grand opportunity, an online quiz competition was organised by ISRO with MyGov from August 10 to 25, in which contestants had to answer 10 questions in 10 minutes.
Sony, on the other hand, answered all the questions in seven minutes, it added.
DC i/c of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan , Tinsukia region BK Behara encouraged and lauded her on her selection during a surprise academic inspection yesterday, added the statement.
