Imphal, July 19 2021: The Minister for Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, MLAs of Keirao and Wangkhem Assembly Constituencies extended their greetings to people of Manipur, specially the Muslim brethren on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha (Bakrid).

Agriculture Minister, Oinam Lukhoi in his message to the people stated that Eid-al-Adha marks the bowling down of man to God's command.

"On this holy occasion, let us all resolve to uphold the virtue of divinity in the human being by promoting the values of generosity, tolerance and compassion among all of us," said the Minister in his message.

While extending heartfelt greetings to all, the Minister also urged all to adhere to Covid SOPs laid down by the Government during the celebration.

MLA of Keirao AC also noted that Eid-al-Adha is an important religious festival celebrated by Muslims across the globe to mark equality, purity and devotion.

Wishing Muslim community a peaceful and a prosperous Eid-al-Adha, he also prayed Allah for safety and protection of all.

Wangkhem Assembly Constituency MLA, K Meghachandra who is also the vice president (Media, Social Media, Information and Publicity) of MPCC also wished the Muslim community across the State and people of Manipur on the occasion of the festival.

The celebration of Eid-ul-Zuha (Eid-al-Adha) signifies the spirit of devotion to almighty and celebration of brotherhood through helping and sharing for humanity, Meghachandra said in his greeting.
