Taragi Cheisu donates rice to relief committee

Imphal, August 16 2026: Core Committee On Relief and Rehabilitation, Manipur received 10 bags of local rice from Taragi Cheisu at Kabo Leikai, Dewlahland on Sunday.

Handing over the donation, Taragi Cheisu co-chairman RK Nimai, said in times of distress people must support each other.

"This is a small contribution from Taragi Cheisu.

We will also extend possible assistance to the relief camp at Makhan", he said.

Core Committee convenor Yazing Vilisy expressed gratitude for the support and highlighted the difficulties faced by inmates of relief camps in getting access to local rice.

He said the donation would help address the food needs of displaced people currently sheltered in relief camps.
