First black fungus case in CCpur

Churachandpur, July 19 2021:
Churachandpur has reported its first case of black fungus (Mucormycosis) in a COVID-19 patient.
According to sources from IDSP/Chura-chandpur, a 65-year old man from Muollum Rengkai was registered as having COVID-related problems on May 31 and on July 12 doctors at Sielmat Christian Hospital suspected him of being affected by black fungus.
As a result, the ENT surgeon conducted a debridement and sent a tissue for confirmation at a private diagnostic lab in Imphal where a biopsy report confirmed the man of contracting mucormycosis (black fungus) on July 17.The patient has diabetes and chronic lung diseases and he is now undergoing treatment.
