Imphal, April 30 2022: Manipur Cultural Council president Kangjam Radhakumar has stated that the State might witness true development only after finding its weak point and working on it.

He made the statement at the premiere show of Manipuri film "Tharoi Ahaambagi Mahao" at the auditorium of Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS) as a fund drive.

Ranjit Ningthouja, the writer and producer of the film, was felicitated during the function.

At the event, Radhakumar continued that the culture of cinema halls is in critical stage in Manipur due to the advancement of technology but the same is not the case in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

"It is time we discuss why the culture of cinema halls is dying in Manipur with utmost seriousness as it cannot be taken as a change brought by time" he said.

The keynote address of the event was delivered by advisor to MCC Sougrakpam Hemanta.
