SFT distributes sewing machines

Siktui Foundation Trust (SFT) distributed sewing machines to select beneficiaries during a simple distribution function held at its Vengnuam, New Lamka office on Thursday.
The beneficiaries are Ng Mankhanmawi, daughter of late Ginkhanmuan of New Lamka and Sawmniang wife of Paukhosat of Sharon Veng Ngathal.
The sewing machines were handed over to the beneficiaries by SFT chairman and Churachandpur ADC ex-MDC M Gouzamang Guite in the presence of SFT executive member Chin-muanthang Guite as the programme moderator while assistant coordinator C Lunkim narrated about various activities undertaken by the trust.
During his speech, Gouzamang said that abundant blessing has been showered on SFT by God with the result the trust now produces Siktui packaged drinking water and has Siktui farms and resorts for the benefit of the people.
Talking about his recent Aizawl trip, Gouzamang recalled that the Siktui team met top officials as per plan despite strict SOP enforced due to COVID-19 lockdown.
With regard to public welfare projects, he said that the trust has purchased a new i10 grand vehicle for use by people of the state in Delhi and it will be rented out at very low charges but without any charge for transportation of sick people.
In partnership with the Good News for All Ministry, arrangement has been made to acquire a land plot for establishment of a school for which the capital investment shall be arranged by SFT and will be looked after by Thang Ngaihte, a missionary in Delhi.
Informing that the trust has provided Siktui packaged drinking water to Vengnuam CHIC and some other CHICs, the chairman said it also extending help in the fight against Covid-19 through lending out of oxygen concentrators and cylinders.
More oxygen concentrators will be sent from Delhi for the purpose soon, Gouzamang added.
