State police rescue Naga girl

A team of CID (SB) led by SP CID (SB) rescued a Nagamese girl from a Delhi-bound Jet Airways flight, who was lured by traffickers on the pretext of a job offer in Delhi.
According to a press release from PRO Police Department, on January 16 last IGP (LO-I) who was tipped by DGP (Prisons), Nagaland alerted SP CID (SB) that a 17-year-old girl from Chandmari, Kohima in Nagaland had been missing since January 13 last and suspected human traffickers were planning to take her to Delhi.
On receiving the information and details of the girl, Airport unit of CID (SB) was alerted about the missing girl with a direction to check all the outgoing passengers.
A team of CID (SB) led by SP CID (SB) rushed to the airport.
The missing girl was found and she was off loaded from Jet Airways.
The release informed that the girl was handed over to Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Imphal West and later handed over to Nagaland Women Police on January 17 .
Investigation is on to nab the traffickers who had lured the girl with job offer in Delhi.
It is revealed that the traffickers befriended her through Facebook, sent her flight tickets for Imphal-Guwahati Jet Airways and Guwahati-Delhi Jet Airways, it said.
