Imphal, October 16 2022: Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal organised a one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 8 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan at Khamlang Village in Kasom Khullen subdivision of Kamjong district.

As per a press release issued by CBC Regional Office Imphal, Mahaiwung Shanglai, headman, khamlang village presided over the programme.

Speaking as the resource person, Thuimaya Kashung, Horticulture Development officer, Department of Horticulture, Ukhrul spoke in detail about the national Integrated Horticulture Mission and PM Fasal Bima Yojana.

He shared that fruits such as lemon, kiwi, banana, dragon fruit etc are favourable for the soil of Kamjong district."Following this, contribution of the unsung heroes of the Indian freedom struggle from Manipur was discussed during the programme.

Later, Azadi Quest quiz contest was conducted and prizes were distributed to the winners.

Imphal Artiste Union, Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai also performed a magic show to the delight of the gathering.
