Seven intending candidates join Janata Dal (United)

Hangkhanpao Taithul, Janata Dal (United) State President has remarked that with former MLA of Sekmai AC Kh Devendro and seven other intending candidates joining the JD(U), the political party will undoubtedly play a big role in the formation of the new Govt.The seven other intending candidates who recently joined JD(U) are Ph Dhanabir from Kumbi AC, Chungjalen Haokip from Chandel AC, Ninghui Keishing from Phungyar AC, Henglep AC Jenneikhup Vaiphei, Dr John Pulamte from Saikot AC and Thangkhosei Gui from Thanlon AC .
The newly joined members were accorded a warm welcome in a ceremony held at the office of JD(U) at Hodam Leirak, Keishamthong.
Speaking on the occasion, Hangkhanpao Taithul stated that JD(U)'s goal of fielding 15 candidates in the upcoming State Assembly Election, 2022 has been fulfilled.
He further said that there is a possibility of roughly 25 JD(U) candidates contesting in the upcoming election following the possibility of some other candidates joining the Party, including a sitting MLA.
People of the State trust the Party, he remarked, as JD(U) had included the repeal of AFSPA from Manipur as one of the 12 points in their election manifesto, he stated.
