National Youth Day celebrated

Imphal, January 12 2022:
Vidya Bharati Shiksha Vikash Samiti, Manipur in coordination with Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Imphal Branch celebrated 'National Youth Day' in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at Bal Vidya Mandir, Palace Compound here on Wednesday.
The event was attended by Ramkrishna Mission, Imphal secretary Swami Nareshsandaji Maharaj as chief guest, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari and Imphal president Dr S Kulachandra as president while RSS Assam circle secretary Kh Rajen and retired MCS Th Shivdutta were guests of honour.
In his speech at the event, Nareshsandaji said that Swami Vivekananda was a rare man for the country and his birth anniversary is being commemorated as 'National Youth Day' by the Government of India.
The step taken by the government indeed was a good one for youth of the country and hence today's generation needs to understand the thought and ideals of the great leader, he maintained.
Celin Digital also celebrated National Youth Day at its mini studio on Wednesday with strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs.
In a release, Celin Digital held publicity officer (FPO) Ksh James Singh informed that the programme was attended by national awardee Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh and state awardee Ksh Memtombi Devi as chief guest and president respectively.
Meanwhile, Celin Digital organised a Covid-19 Awareness cum Poster Campaign at Motbung Bazar during which Covid-19 posters containing preventive measures were distributed to the public.
