Imphal, April 23 2023: The 2nd State Level Iputhou Paona Ningshing Huyen Lanlong Yendamnaba culminated today with Chainarol Temple and Sangeet Natak Thang-Ta teams claiming top honours in Thang-Chungoi Marol event for boys and girls.

The two day event was held as a part of Khongjom War commemorative programme at Ibudhou Thongjulakpa Lai Haraopung, Thongju under the aegis of Apunba Manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup.

L Thomas of Chainarol Temple bagged 52 points to win the Thang-Chungoi Marol event for boys as Maleshwari Sapam of Sangeet Natak Thang-Ta bagged 53 points to seal the gold medal in the girls competition.

In the Leiteng Apunba Haiba event, Mangang Luwang Khuman Thang-Ta Cultural Association (MLKHTCA) team bagged the gold medal as Chainarol Temple and MLKHTCA won Thang-Chungoi Chainaba for boys and girls respectively.

The thang-ta competition cum commemorative programme was graced by Dr Paonam Gunindro, VC Manipur University of Culture; Okram Manglem, president Apunba Manipur Huyen Lanlong Lup; Chirom Jaswanta, Bashikhong Zilla Parishad Member and Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, president AMUCO as presidium members.
