13 Bn BSF organised a civic action programme at Maphou of Senapati district today.
Commandant of 13 Bn BSF, RK Mishra presented one 5 KVA generator set to the computer training centre of the village.
One rain water harvest system each were also provided to Maphou Primary School, New Maphou Kuki Sewing Training Centre, Moirang Purel Ever Bloom English School and Moirang Purel Boys Hostel.
Complete sets of football item and uniforms were also provided to Maphou Primary School, Moirang Purel Ever Bloom English School and Moirang Purel Village Football team.
Speaking at the occasion, RK Mishra greeted the gathering on the eve of the 63rd Independence Day.
The Commandant reiterated the importance of stronger relationship between civil population and security forces and opined that this could be the panacea for resolving the intricate problem of insurgency in the State.
