Imphal, August 13 2010:
Taking strong exception to the continued impasse over the results of the DPC held for recruitment of Primary teachers, the Parents/Guardians Association of DPC Successful Candidates for Primary Teacher/HMT/HG-T 2006 has urged the State Government to issue appointment orders to the DPC successful candidates.
A press release issued by the association's president T Kullabidhu appealed to the State Govt to entrust the responsibility of promoting and improvising primary education to the successful candidates.
Asserting that quality education can never be realised without qualified teachers, it appealed to all concerned not to let politics influence education sector.
Reminding that right to education is a fundamental right, the association decried the prolonged delay in settling the matter.
In case the successful candidates decide to launch either democratic or violence protest movements in the event of the Government rescinding the DPC results, the parents/guardians would extend full support to any kind of protest agitation, added the release.
