Imphal, August 13 2010:
Troops of 36 Assam Rifles rescued four labourers and driver of a truck (MN01/1560) when their vehicle met with an accident at Lairongchin area of Imphal-Dimapur section National highway 39 today, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.
The injured persons were rushed to 36 AR hospital where the medical officers provided necessary medical aid to the victims out of whom three had been discharged fit and of the one seriously injured shifted to Senapati district hospital in ambulance of the AR unit.
The truck lost control and slipped down 100 feet into the valley near Lairongchin, the release added.
