Different organisations have observed Patriot's Day in separate functions across the State.
All Manipur Elementary School Teachers' Association (AMESTA) organised the day at Modhu Girls Junior High School.
Apunba Poramlen Marup-Manipur, International Modernised Academy, Manipur People's Democratic Front, Social Volunteers Association, Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress, Manipur University, All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association, CI College Students' Union, Modern College Students' Union also observed the day.
Empowerment of Community for Human Education and Multitude Advancement (ECHEMA) and Action and Implementation for Development organised a painting competition for children in connection with Patriot's Day celebration.
Nilema Yumkham, Y Rahul and Rickey Y got first, second and third prizes respectively.
Manipuri Literary Society organised a kavi sammelan in connection with the day.
National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) organised Patriot's Day at Yaingangpokpi.
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee organised the day at Congress Bhavan.
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Imphal East District Committee also observed the day at CC Higher Secondary School.
United People's Front (UPF), Moirang Zonal Council, DM College of Arts Students' Union, All Manipur Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup, Singjamei to Lilong United Clubs' Organisation, Ereipak Ennat Chanura Loinasillon (EECHAL), Imphal Public Higher Secondary School, Kangla Local Association Manipur State Bharat Scouts and Guides, All Manipur Women's Social Reformation and Development Samaj, Lilong Haoreibi College Students' Union, All Mayai Lambi Clubs' Organisation, August Observation Committee, Wangjing-Lamding, Social Amity, Integrity and Prosperity Organisation, All Manipur Nupi Marup, Nongchup Imphal Meira Paibee Apunba Lup also observed Patriot's Day.
Apunba Meira Paibee Apunba Lup, Hojai also observed the day at Hojai.
Nupi Samaj Churachandpur district and Churachandpur United Club Organisation also separately celebrated the occasion, reports our correspondent.
The Nupi Samaj's observance was held at Praja Mandop Leikai while that of CUCO was held at Forest Gate Tuibuong.
Various social workers, tribal chiefs and prominent figures from various walks of life attended both the day's observation respectively.
