14 Myanmarese nabbed with fake Aadhaar cards

Imphal, September 30 2021: Fourteen Myanmarese nationals including one female who were trying to travel to New Delhi using fake Aadhaar Cards were nabbed by security personnel deployed at the Imphal International Airport here on Thursday.

According to a police report, the Myanmarese nationals were detained at the Airport security check in for producing fake Aadhaar Cards at about 2:30 pm.

They were trying to travel on board New Delhi-bound Indigo flight number 6E 2209.Upon questioning, they revealed that they are nationals of Myanmar and had crossed into the county through the porous border region of Mizoram without any valid document.

They along with the recovered fake Aadhaar Cards and boarding passes were handed over to Singjamei Police station where an FIR has been registered for further legal action.
