Dr N Raghumani selected for CRSI award

In recognition of his research in the field of chemistry, Dr Ningthoujam Raghumani, who is presently working as a scientific officer at Chemistry division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, has been selected by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) for presentation with its CRSI bronze medal award for 2022.In its letter sent to Dr Raghumani, Bangalore-based CRSI informed that the award might be presented either during the 28th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry to be held at IIT Guwahati in February or at its 29th edition scheduled in July, 2022 .
Son of late N Kula Singh and late Meipak Devi of Thoubal Achouba, Dr Raghumani is the lone Manipuri scientist selected for the award which also include many academicians from top institutes like IITs, USER, etc.
He obtained his MSc chemistry from Manipur Universityin 1994 and completed PhD in chemistry from IIT Kanpur.
Dr Raghumani has been listed in the two per cent Indian scientists as well as world scientists in the survey conducted by the team of faculties from Sandford University, California, USA in 2020 .
