SSU, WAFA, SU & AFA qualify for 1st Premier League semifinals

AIM came from behind to beat FC Raengdai 2-1, but both teams failed to qualify for the semifinals of the 1st Premier League as SSU, WAFA, SU and AFA completed the last-four lineup.
The semifinal fixtures pit Southern Sporting Union (SSU) against Sagolband United (SU) and Wangoi Football Association (WAFA) against Asufh Football Association (AFA), Mao on Monday, January 29, 2024.The first semifinal match between SSU and SU will take place at 11 am before WAFA and AFA take the field at 1.30 pm.
The point table of the 1st Premier League saw SSU top the standings with 17 points from their eight games.
WAFA finished second with 15 points while AFA secured 14 points to claim the third place, with SU completing the top four with 13 points.
In the last league match, FC Raengdai went ahead early with a 5th-minute goal from Zangdipou Panmei and took control of the game through the first-half contest.
AIM took just four minutes into the second half to level the score with Thong-bam Johnson Meitei on target before they scored their second goal in the 77th minute through Khaidem Jacky Singh whose effort eventually proved to be the decider.
