20th Veteran Cricket : LCCC devastate SNC by 135 runs

Imphal, December 28 2023: LCCC-Lilong Chajing overwhelmed SNC-Sangaiprou by 135 runs for the second straight Group B win in the ongoing 20th Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground.

The win also helped LCCC secure a quarter final ticket before they face off against YUCC in the Group winners deciding match on January 3 .

LCCC amassed a colossal total of 239 runs at the cost of 9 wickets in the allotted 30 overs after opting to bat first and successfully held SNC to 104/9 to earn the huge win today.

Jinta 48, O Gulshan 40, S Rakesh 25, N Sanjit 23 and L Krishna 16 were the main run getters for LCCC in their innings which saw SNC's W Rajen claiming three wickets (3/15) and Satyaraj fetching two wickets (2/22) .

In reply, SNC could muster 104 runs thanks to Th Bishorjit 29 and Rajen 24 as L Krishna (2/17) and Jinta (2/14) of LCCC shared four wickets and four others managed a wicket apiece.

Jinta who starred with both the bat and ball was adjudged man of the match.

CHAMP will play SHADOW in the next match (Group C) tomorrow at the same venue.
