Imphal, December 28 2023:
STAR Education, the transformative education program under School Fagathansi Mission Manipur, continued delivering lesson plans across the STAR-supported schools even with limited internet access.
In a release, STAR Education stated that one of the daily classroom requirements is for lesson plans designed by STAR Education to be delivered to the school through the Headmasters' smartphones provided by the program.
The approach requires internet access for the lesson plan to be delivered and synced with Headmasters' smartphones every day in time for the classes.
The program, which is reliant on daily mobile internet synchronisation with Headmasters' smartphones, had to swiftly adapt to the evolving circumstances.
To restore regular classroom lessons, the Headmasters/Headmistresses' smartphones and teachers' tablets were collected regularly, synced in the STAR Education office and redistributed to the respective schools by the STAR supervisors.
The process was made easier with restoration of broadband services, the release continued, while adding that the team ensured that learning did not stop even with restricted internet access.
STAR Education has increased the fluency outcomes of the students enrolled under the program, it informed, while adding that there is an increase of 7,400 students from the beginning of the programme until January 2023.The programme is set to expand to new schools, and increase the rate at which its methodology is effectively being used by school leaders and teachers, it added.
