Jamiat Ulama-I appeals for low-key Eid

Imphal, June 20 2023:
Citing the restive situation in state, Jamiat Ulama-I Manipur has appealed to Muslim community in the state to celebrate the upcoming Eid al-Adha in a low-key manner.
In a release, Jamiat Ulama-I appealed to parties concerned to organise the festival with bare necessity and offer prayers for peace in state.
While advising local clubs and organisations to avoid unnecessary gatherings at market place, roadside and malls, it also appealed to womenfolk not to visit their parents and avoid traveling to far-off places and in late nights.
